Been riding my new Ducati for about two weeks. I used red rubber band to get some direct steering. Notice turns faster, but it doesn't lean as much.

Hi guys, i just got my silverlit last week, awesome little bike to use, its my first electric rc model & i need some help as i know nothing about electrics, i am going to run the xcelorin brushless combo set up like you guys what motor combo are you using is it the 8750kv or the 10250kv.
Also i want to run it with a 27mhz radio system as i can't afford the spektrum stuff at the moment & i was thinking of trying to use this 27mhz micro t receiver with a hpi 27mhz transmitter.
Apparently its not the stock receiver/esc micro t combo its a receiver only, designed to run with the xcelorin 1/36 brushless esc motor combo.
Can anyone tell me if this would work or does anyone know of a 27mhz receiver i could use.
Also how much weight in grams are you using in the rider to make it turn better.

Cheers.

Its what ever you can get in there, we started with very small 40mhz receiver and bb motors then went on to 2,4 and brushless set ups, if you can get that 27mhz one in there I guess it would be ok, I run the 8750kv and I would say I must have near 10g of weight in the top of the rider.
Good luck.

Well after reading these posts I braved the cold and took the bike out for the first time on tarmac, we normally run on a painted floor with very little grip, but wow tarmac is great !! got the bike flat out a few times but it seems to suffer from a high speed wobble which seems to be coming from the back of the bike, I got a feeling its the tire trying to come off the rim but not sure, Nev, hows your bike flat out ? but still great fun to drive you can run these little bikes so slow and then just wheelspin and blast away, and on a 2 cell they run forever, I only came home because I could not feel my fingers, I am getting over 10 mins run time, this is a real good reliable conversion, shame nobody can bring out a ready to run like this, I have not broken anything on this bike its so tough

yep you are right m8, starts to tank slap real bad i think the direct steering mod shown couple posts ago with wire on the servo and connect to headstock is good idea
maybe glue tyres to rim as well with water sealer might work have to try it
