Yes, you will have a lot of choices at Tamiya 1/12 scale model.
Just a little fix like rear wheel for Tamiya rear tire.
And don't glue the parts, because you have to re-assemble them.
Screws, piano wire... just no glue.

Does anybody know much about the motors on these Silverlit bikes. I'm pretty sure I'll be getting one for Xmas (heavy hinting) and will no doubt have a go at a few mods. Just wondered whether the motors could be swapped out for uprated ones/or just modded, only seen one picture so far, and couldn't tell whether a Slot/Scalextrix motor might fit. Anybody have any ideas.

Here are the pics about twin motors.
And I tested different batteries, 160mah 7.2V or 300mah 6V.
Original battery is 220mah 4.8V.

Thank you for the speed champ !!

I think we could win more torque carrying only a Piņon attack to the crown, two pine nuts gives me the impression that the battery wears more and does not have the same speed as a motorcycle slot (I do not know if I explained ..)

Thanks for the photos Irving. What were your experiences with the different batteries, any gains really?

Whats your opinion on swapping out the motors, they look fairly slim line, would something like a slot/scalextrix motor fit? (if it would provide more ooomph).

If I understand CLKSpeed, he is suggesting that removing the two motors and going back to just one good motor, therefore reducing the demand on the batteries, I wonder how this would effect the stablility of the bike?

Bod2020, by what I see in the photos could be adapted engines mini z boat or change the winding rotor by a more powerful engine as the engine of mini z T2, Z2, MALE AWD ... it could also put bruslhes a set of micro-T.

Irving give us your impressions, thanks!.

I just bought one. Cannot work out how to take the driver apart from the bike. Anyone help?

The front tire is weight loaded and out of balance. I am trying to balance it. Also there is some resistance on rotating the front tyre. Any chance to change to bearing there?

The motor compartment is pretty small and it seems little chance to upgrade it, unless an overhaul of the gear box as well.

The biker is definitely a master piece. All moving joints and decal are excellent!

I have 3 Silverlit, including the 2 I have modified:
The first is easy to do:

The second is harder:

The motor is Atomic T2:

The board come from MR2 Mini-Z with optional fets 4562:

With 2 lipos 300mA, the speed is good !
