Hey Shane,
That looks really good.

How do you get the battery in and out with the new fairing?

Presentation and infos request

Hi everybody,
I'm Massimo from Milano, Italy. Damn you all, after reading this long thread about Silverlit 1/12 I ordered one even if I have no idea of where to use it! ))) well... I'm a biker and bikers too often use the "guts" instead of brain
Btw, compliments to everybody for the passion and the genial intuitions but I need some informations about modifying that small, red animal. Please help me cause from photos and posts I didn't understand exactely what engine to mount. So here's my questions:

- Mini-Z Boat X-Speed? Mini Z-Lit X-Speed? (They are the only ones with the same shape of the originals, right?). Do they have the same size also, to be inserted in the frames without cutting anything?
- Other engines, again without modifying anything?
- 2 engines or just one?
- for sure i will change ESC and servo but, anyway, can the original ESC handle the upgrade to engines?

DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE UPGRADED ENGINES ARE MORE THAN WELCOME ))

In short, the purpose is to make that bike going at it's best but without making dramatic changes. I'm neither that good nor own the proper tools to succeede in the fantastic works you made
Thanks very much guys.
I can't wait
Massimo

well,I got lucky.I use doublesided snot tape by 3m to hold the battery in, and some velcro on the body inside to hold it to the battery. There are some pins inside the joint area where the upper fairing meets the lower one,and it is such a tight fit that it hols it's self in place.Just plain ol'e dumb luck I guess.

hi lalain, I'm impressed! Compliments.
SO, please, help me to understand: u mounted just 1 engine and on the other side you put a weight, right? What kind of engine is that? And what batteries? Is it necessary to change also ESC?
merci
ciao

Little motors are easier to install but you can try all you have. Some are good to play in my kitchen; others with big power (for example Atomic for Mini-Z) need a big room or gymnase.
On the other side you can put up to 10g weight.
Battery are lipo 2s 200 or 300 mA.
Esc are brushless or brushed depanding of your motor.
A very good bike is with Feigao 120s 5250KV and ESC Losi Xcelorin (destinated to micro-T options):

Sorry if the pictures does not play, imagehotel.net seem have problems

Thanks very much lalain. I can't wait to receive my bike to begin modifying it. Then I will find a place where to use it Of course don't stop posting your new modifications. My suggestion is to send a sample of your work to Silverlit. I'm sure they will hire you

ps. are they all 4 ducati by silverlit?
