What is the total weight of your Condor and the brand of your 4250 / 800kv motor?
I am trying to determine if my set up will fly as mine feels very heavy. I have the weight of mine recorded somewhere but have moved on to other projects.

The total weight is 2950g incl. a Zippy 4S-4000mAh 40C Lipo from HK.

Thank you mucwendel, that data and info helps me very much. I can now see that I must replace my Turnigy 35-48 with a larger motor and modify the nose to accept it. That added weight plus the larger battery to support it should do the trick. As it was I needed to add unwanted lead to reach the CG and it was underpowered.
This aircraft is shaping up to be a good looking and fast crusing bird that will just about ignore all but the strongest thermals. Charlie

Actually I carry 80g lead inside the nose. But a larger LiPo will not fit under the canopy without modifying it.

As I got the bird as electric version I just had to cut of 10mm from the nose in order to get the motor inside.

I also moved the rudder servo behind the main frame in order to have more space for the lipo.
I've cancelled the first idea to mount the rudder servo into the tail, as I want to prevent carrying more lead in order to keep the CG.

Lets see if I find some more pictures.

A little help

Hi all! I have ordered up an Condor EVO 4 Electric version & have a question as I try to piece together everything for the build. What size prop spinner does the electric version require? Is it 45mm?

Is anyone using the recommended FLY-FLY 83-85mm?
Need to know the CGs U guys are at, on the glider version only.

Hi layer,l have flown my condor primarily slope(glider-version only) at 85mm,and found it needed down elevator, more often than not to maintain level flight.I have added extra lead and it flies better at 80mm,without using down elevator.At 85mm, mine was slightly tail heavy.You will like the condor,its one of my favourites,flys well,and is easy to land,and it has had fifteen flights already,in 15 to 22 plus mph winds.regards damian

Guys,

Maiden flight with de Condor this weekend, weak thermals but good flight.

It's a Eletric version with a Hyperion GS3025-08 on 4S and a Aeronault 12X6,5 folding, very strong set up, capable of vertical climbing. As it was necessary 160g of ballast in the nose 60% climbing power give a good cool climbing perforrmance.

I am using the 83-85 CG point, with good result.

At the third flight the model was allready trimmed I tried some loopings rolls and stall turns, with good results.

Landing was easy and smooth, only using the flaps, as soon as a good landing circuit high was found. Buterfly not yet set up, with it will be easier.

Hello everybody!
I'm new to the forum and... new to the Condor Magic Evo 4.
I've been enjoying myself for a couple of month with the EasyGlider Pro then I've found the Condor Magic Evo 4 in my shop (electric version with motor), so... I bought it.
I think it's challenging for me but... I think I can do it. :-)

I would ask some questions about components/preparation of the model since I would like to do things in the right way.

First questions is concerning the servos:
- are the HS65MG good for ailerons and flaps?
- is the HS81 good for elevator (in the tail)?

And... does the Condor Magic Evo flights in a proper way even without inverting the flaps?

I assume you mean turning the flaps over, being a common modification for more "down" travel? The glider will fly fine with the stock arrangement. The only purpose in trying to get more "down" travel on the flaps is to make them more effective as brakes for landing purposes. If you have a nice level grass field to land on, then you don't really need such good braking: it's needed more for slope flying where there is usually limited space to land.

Thanks for your answer. Actually, I would start to fly on grass flat field but my goal is to fly on the slopes, so... definitively I would need to "brake" the beast.
I just fear I'll not be able to modify the flap... I have to think twice... mumble mumble...

Any info about the servo?
