If the weight were really critical, you could have even reduced the gauge of the + and - leads after every 2 or 3 servo taps till the last run was just a normal servo extension lead. I know it's probably too late for the 36, but you might want to try some experiments before you wire the H-34.

I have in my left wing:

2 servos for flap #1
2 servos for flap #2
2 servos for aileron (L)
1 ESC motor #1
1 ESC motor #2
1 ESC EDF#1
1 ESC EDF#2
Nav Lights-wire
Battery to ESC wire motor #1
Battery to ESC wire motor #2
Battery to ESC wire EDF #1
Battery to ESC wire EDF #2
RX Battery #1 wire
RX Battery #2 wire

Its not a control wire task, its all the other wire

The H-34 will have minimal wire as its a heli.

H-34, my bad. I was wanting to reference your Herk. I guess you're right, the servo wires are a small fraction of the weight compared to the battery and motor lead wires.

Rock On!

Wait....What? You're going to make a mold for an H-34? How'd I miss that?
Is there a thread for that somewhere?
Sheesh! Do you sleep? I know, I know, like my teenager says "sleep is highly over rated".

Maybe I missed it, but shouldn't there be 3 motors in each wing (5 total if you count the two EDF motors)?

Looking forward to more pics!

When Alexander (the DC6 guy) came to America we hung out and he said the H-34 was his favorite chopper, wellllll its mine too.

So we are teaming up to build a H-34 around a T-rex 600 (electric).

I think he is talking about the detached portion of the plug-in wing.

Ah, yes, forgot the inboards were part of the fuse section, not the detached wing. Thanks for the clarification.

Top of the World

I think it was Tuesday this week that I saw a promo/trailer for an old 1955 movie titled "Top of the World" on the ThisTV channel . There were a bunch (25-30 or more???) of B-36's flying in formation. I did not watch the film which was not about the B-36 at all but a love story at the North pole and a daring rescue mission.

I am just curious, did anyone else happen to see this trailer or even the flick?

It's available for instant streaming on Netflix. I may try to watch it later.

I watched it on Netflix last night. The only time I remember seeing the B-36s was in the closing credits. There were some cool scenes with a Cessna LC-126, F-82 Twin Mustangs and a Waco G-4 though.
