At least no one popped up with "Samer to you, fella!:

Dag will be using this gesture a lot with the really bad weather in ny/nj......

Like the F1 analogy, but prefer the Volvo hydroplaning in "27 Dresses"

Are you going to finish the EII Racer first, then finish the B-36 or will the two be on the workbench at the same time, you moving from one to the other?

Yes this thread does slide out of control, sort of like a NASCAR pile up in restricter plate racing. At least no airframes are damaged when it happens.

Hey buddy.

I have 36 in the garage where I am still working on the wiring, and systems. I need to get more of the wire in before I mate the wings for test fit of the systems and then complete the #2 & #5 flaps.

The EII is in my basement shop and she will get done first as all I really have left is a few things before I start covering her.

Stay safe!!!!

Think thats because we here are pretty cool guys here.....

I have learned not to care that much about the derailments as it has taken me way to long to get this done. Just the shear number of photos I have on this thread is mind boggling.....

Rock ON!!!!

Thanks, Dag
Sorry for the long delay to an older question, but the stuff you may be referring to is called "Split Second"

Everything is great
36 is slow as I am getting the EII done. Last week I finished getting all the flap parts cut so I believe every part that has to be cut for a drawing or template is done. All I have left to do is assemble 2 more flaps, sheet all flaps, finish the huge task of all the wiring of the systems, and then sheet the wings, close up the fuse, then glass and paint, then another 2-3 weeks of testing out all the systems.

Rock ON!!!!!

I was originally going to facetiously post "So...nearly all done, then!" and then I realised that when I look back over what you have achieved with this aircraft (calling it a model seems inadequate) over the past 4 years, you really are nearly all done!

Even if it should take another couple of years, don't sweat it - we're all here for the long pull.

Happy Thanksgiving (yesterday) to all in the US. (It also has a benefit for me too - working for a US corporation in the UK means that the phone and email has gone silent!)

Yes, don't let "Black Friday" get you "black" in mood from all the crowds and shopping lines....

Today is a day off for me and I was planning to do work in the basement plus on some of the honey-dos and the kits floating around my workbench. Raining so cleaning the gutters at the front of th house and porch is probably out. Daughter and her friend are going to be in the area (Christmas shopping on Black Friday -- where have we heard that???) and we're joing them for lunch.

Topping off life in the hobby -- our club's website got hit by a DDOS attach from 80legs, the gun-for-hire web-crawler assault company. Just going to ride out the storm, tighten security and go forward, knowing that someone definteily does not want workbench

Why would someone launch a DOS attack on an RC club website?

Dag, it's getting exciting hearing that you're so close to the end of this bird. I took some time off work around the end of April, with the thought that I could try to attend SEFF, though we're also hoping to be moving from our condo to a house around then, so I may not actually go anywhere. But if I did, it would be great to see this bird in person!
