Great video.

Looks like the helo guys were out on a student pilot training flight. The student pilot is in the right (command) seat, instructor on the left. Instructor took the controls to hover over the P-51 (still cannot believe rotor wash did not blow the model out of the tree) and student made the grab.

Also note when the student pilot takes off the instructor's hand is backing up the stick... just in case.

Just a heads up. There were no less than 6 threads started in e plane talk about that RC plane rescue. At least 4 were removed due to the swearing breaking rules. Most don't care but someone might. Nice rescue though for sure.

The guy does have a pretty foul mouth on him. I don't mind a little but the "f" word was pretty popular with the pilots.

Personally, I do not understand the need for some people to use the "F" word as often as it is used these days. I will be the first to admit when I get mad, I tend to curse, but it seems you can't go anywhere these days without hearing it, even in restaurants etc.... Just my opinion and sorry for the rant...

I'm hoping Damon's week off from the 36 ends soon. Looking forward to an update on the wiring situation and forward progress.

Pat
I have been in meeting in NY all week. Back home tomorrow via Delta and a 737.

Kinda funny watching this thread slide out of control like a F1 car in a Ice Storm...

Rock ON!!!!
