By now I've realized that Dag likes to post pictures of new 36 progress and those pics inevitably end up in the "Hot Pics" sidebar on the homepage. I find that checking up on the thread is largely unnecessary because I can see new developments right there

Dag is famous around the world, so to speak.

I check this thread everytime there is a post, with the new little arrow, you can go to the last post. Everytime it appears in bold blue, I check.

Yes you can check the side bar for the pictures, but I check the thread.

Hats off to Dag and his wonderful build.

Hey all

Thanks for all the great comments. I am in NY all week, and then things will slow down for about 3 weeks, then get crazy again. But I am really itching to get my B-36 #3/#4 nacelles done so I can get the landing gear 100% finished, and then the gear outer doors, then I can finish all my internal wiring and systems, and then start closing up the wing, then we will really be moving again. Well...... kinda.. I am broke again so I will get as far as I can until I need to spend the green......

Stay safe all.........

Damon

Well done! Helis in general are not easy to fly but the revolution in design and handling of electric RC helis over the past five years have brought to the market a whole range of much more manageable trainer models with gentle and relatively forgiving flight characteristics.

Certainly the combination of your piloting skills, experience and practice on the sim together with the tame characteristics of the 120SR mean you seem to be having a successful and enjoyable entry to this fascinating part of the hobby. Good to see you having fun with it.

Should you ever move on to fully acrobatic CP helis you might find them more challenging.

Looks like you have the 120SR well in hand. I had a toy grade 2-3 channel IR heli and flew the snot out of that thing, finally when the battery was so weak it couldnt even hover I bought myself an MSR, which is basically the exact same heli as the 120 SR, just smaller. I was all over the place with it at first and knocked it into everything in the house. Now I'm flying an MSR-X which is slightly more advanced, still micro, but no flybar so it is MUCH more agile. It also breaks a lot easier than the MSR did. I believe the 130X is the MSR-X equivilant of the 120SR, slightly bigger, flybar less, full artificial stabilization.. might be a good upgrade for u when the 120SR gets boring..

Well Dag you've finally gone over to the dark side. Dont' get me wrong, I stll love flying my Messerschmidt, A26 and other planes, but my helis get most of the attention these days. And wow, only 6 months on the sim and a coax, and you are flying nose in! Congrats, many people take much longer than that to progress that far. Jim
