Need stock setup info

Hi all. I've modded and adjusted my MCX over the last few months. Great for me, not as great for teaching the wife how to fly since what it's gained in performance it's lost in stability.

Could someone with a stock setup post the out-of-box measurements for the control arms (overall length from outside of ball link socket to curve at servo linkage end), as well as which servo hole the arms are connected to?

Thanks!

How about this for a mod:

Well, I guess it's not a mod, but at least now there's a new mCX!

(Parts are available separately if you want to alter your existing mCX)

I've been having an intermittent problem with my mcx. Sometimes (even when just a minute into flight, the battery still has plenty of juice) it seems like the mcx will not respond to the transmitter for a few seconds at a time. Sometimes when this happens the blade lowers itself to the ground similar to LVC, sometimes it will get stuck going forward and hit a wall, sometimes it will get stuck at full throttle and go straight up into the ceiling. This has happened with different batteries so I doubt that is the issue, and it's not a servo problem either because it happens to the motors as well. What could cause this? I have fresh batteries in the transmitter. Usually after it happens I can regain control and keep flying like normal, if it drops to the ground like it has lost the connection completely I can just bring it right back up at full power. What gives?

Well you may not believe this, but use an air compressor and blow off the 5in1. That MAY fix the problem, at least for awhile.

I had the same problem you are having and blowing off the 5in1 fixed it for awhile each time. But after a few days of this it didn't help anymore.

It's probably the 5in1, HH replaced mine, now it's just fine all the time.

Sorry

all you have to do is put that canopy, tail boom, and white rotor blades on your mcx and it would be the same thing!! lol

I really hope not, I have less than 50 flights on it...

I noticed tonight that when it loses signal (If that's even what's happening) the led on the heli turns off, and turns back on as soon as I am able to control it again. Sometimes this happens in mid air and I can regain control, sometimes the led turns back on after it has fallen to the ground or crashed.
