Hello from Bavaria,

time is running so fast with work and projects, that I stopped the Posh-project for a while. But I never forget this.

Meanwhile I got some Astro-motors for small money and want to ask the motor specialist's, if it will be possible, to use a geared Astro 25 with 14 NiMh cells to power my model.
Prop would be a 55mm dia 4-blade.

Next question: Should I open a new thread for my POSH-project, cause the system tells me a warning of "old thread"?
The icon-pic of this thread is wrong Craig. You've posted a pic of my very modern Maxi Dolphin Depron yacht...

Kind Regards,
Ernst

14 cell is the maximum for this motor, direct drive. On a gearbox you should be okay. But I would not run full throttle for extended periods.

Thank you Tom!

My other plan was, to power the model with a Plettenberg 345 and 24 cells. But I don't need to much speed for a longer time.
I drive for my own, cause shipmodellers in my area are most driving very fast boats or sailing models. Really built models like my wooden one are very seldom. People are buying rtf-models here.

I would use the plettenberg . That is a large model and will be fun at high speed . Beautiful job Also the 24 cells might be just enough ballast to get you to the waterline .
