Arizona Models Fokker DR-1 1/5th scale
Is anyone flying one of these planes? I picked one up to make into a e-flight plane and the recommended power is a Astro 40W/ super box and 18-8 prop. Will this fly the plane in a scale manner? I want to do it right so chime in with your thoughts. Also, what BL setup would work?

1/5 scale would be around 58" ? at this size, if you are careful on the weight, it should fly on 10 cells with a kyosho atomic force, 7 to 1 reduction and an apc 18 x 10 prop. In my opinion an Astro geared 40 is overkill to say the least. this power system will be almost two pounds lighter, and flies 6 to 7 pound WW1 planes in a nice fashion, with more than ample power to do scale type stuff. eg., 80" E 111, 68" D V1 biplane, 74" D V111. A geared Astro 40 superbox on 19 cells is more than adequate for a 30% DR1.
