AMA Member? Please Raise Your Hand Poll

We've been having a discussion about the impact of RC forums on AMA elections. The discussion revolves around what kind of impact does RC forum users actually make on AMA elections if we all decided to vote one way or another. Is there enough active users in this forum to make a difference?

Some say "No" because the majority of AMA members do not visit the AMA forum simply because it isn't a very friendly place. Always too much bickering and negativity.

This should be interesting since we know RCG has a little over 1100 AMA members that are also active RCG users. It will be good to note how many of those folks visit here.

Please vote "Yes" or "No" to being an AMA member.

For clarity, if you pay dues to the AMA or are a life member, you are considered an AMA member. Previous members who did not renew their membership are not considered members.

Thanks for voting.

Frank

Why not just link your other AMA membership poll?

I don't want to link them becuase I am only looking to count the folks that visit this AMA forum. The issue/debate was that most (many) AMA members do not visit the AMA forum so they do not see/get the info that is being provided. Just trying to see if that is true.

i don't think AMA is worth the paper it is printed on.
they are a manopoly and a rip off.
if you want to join a model airplane club and fly model airplanes .
you MUST join AMA other wise you can't join that club.
i had my first ama card in 1960 swo i have been around a while.
few ywars back the dues went from 48.00 a year to 58.00 a year.
the powers to be never gave us any warning just upped the dues with no say so from the members at all.
the pres Dave Brown said increase was due ti ins premium going up.
now at that time there was 180000 members.
now that is 1.8 million nomatter what way you look at it.
i realy don't believe the ins jumped 1.8 million
never again.

Defently not a AMA member and never will be one again.
Henery Struck would roll over in his Grave if he knew what AMA has come to now.

Got it. Thanks for the response.

Since I have you, if you have such strong emotions against the AMA why do you bother visiting this forum? I'm not wanting to start an argument, I'm just curious. I don't fly helicopters so I don't visit the Helli forum so I am wondering what brings you here?

Thanks,

Frank

I visit the AMA forum quite often, it does seem negative, but I tried to make it a little more positive by making a sticky showing what the AMA does and how it works, I'm hoping this will help so noobies (like me) find their way

Pretty good turnout so far. I expected about those same numbers as a lot of folks don't normally visit the AMA forums. The other one that I visit is showing roughly the same numbers.

To me this means the MA magazine is a very important tool for getting information out to their members.

Why is that? Because I care about what others think?

Shame on you for thinking anything less.
