Too cool! I really want to build a plane with retracts someday. Probably the first EDF bird I do will have retracts.

This is my first airplane with retracts. A little bit tricky, but also a great feature in scale airplanes.

Great Video. I have couple or questions:
What kit is this?
Are the retract your design or part of the kit?
If it is your design, where did you get the parts - retracts?

It is a 1/12th scale P-51D from Mountain Models. It is retracts-ready, designed for GWS blue retracts. The retractable tail wheel is a simple modification on the fixed tail wheel. It uses balsa for support, 1/8" carbon rod for the axis, aluminum tubes to support the carbon axis and a servo arm to hold the wheel and connect the pushrod.
