Global Hawk FPV Ducted Fan

Has anyone tried this one yet as FPV platform?

You'll often find that this particular forum within RCG will always favor 'functionality' over 'cool factor'.

On the other hand I'm not opposed to cool looking planes... although why someone would want to cut their efficiency in half on a $600 FPV plane just to 'look' cool is beyond me.

That plane seems to land awfully hot for what we do. A ducted fan also uses a lot of power quickly so duration would suffer. I've always wondered about trying one of the Predator clones.

I know, it was more of a 'joking irony' tone. Thus the "" at the end.

Both of those planes could work...They sure are cool looking planes...minor conversions from ducted to pusher and maybe add flaps to slow it down a bit. If ducted fan is used I would probly knock off some blades from the fan...I have had plenty of ducted fan planes and the lesser the blades, the longer the batts lasts, of course they dont sound as good...but you know....I would prefer a Jesicca Alba with missed up voice, than 90 year old Fat Lady the sings a great voice anayday . ...I'm just curious to see if anyone has done this plane yet and see if it carries good thermals. ....this would also save some batts once at altitude.

I guess I'm tired of my Fat Easy Lady Of course, if it doest work-I can always throw my reliable Fat Easy Lady around for some quality time. ....Oh my Big Wing Easy is called

Looks awsome, this could be a prospect for replacing my Fat Easy Lady and have a dome pan and tilt mounted on bottom. This one is just lovely. I think flaps would be necessary.
