Give me glass smooth water anytime before chopped up water due to a boat. Granted flying in formation with a moving boat would be OK the first time but I love interacting with the water.

Hey, don't forget there's one more way to fly a Polaris--by HAND! I sometimes fly at an empty field near my house that is a combination of knee-high tall grass and rutty/rocky short grass, and rather than risk scratching up my Polaris I simply hand launch it and then hand catch it.

Hand launching is an easy no-brainer, of course, but once you master stable slow high-alpha approaches it's easy and fun to hand catch, too.

Well I Skyped with Larry today and,,,
he looks great but still going thru Chemo...
His spirits are up ,,,
But Both his computers are hurting..
We managed to talk using his laptop..
Not Larrys style..
But he will return soon ..
He's doing some building ,but taking it easy for now...
For some of you new guys ..........Larry was our own PDF pro..
And thanks to him for alot of plans,,,
He could make a set of PDF of a fly,,
if you could send him some good photo's
The twins cargo, seadart, Skycart, and polaris among many other sites on RC Group..
So Larry will be building and fixin his confussers,,, as we speak..
He's a fighter for sure..
We'll be so glad to see him back on here..
Later,
Lenny

Hi all,

I have been watching this thread for a while and finally took the plans to the printers today. All I am waiting for now is someone with a van who can help me bring a sheet of MDF home for use as a building board then I can get started on the build.

I too don't know Larry but hope he has a quick recovery. I know how bad it can be, my mum went through it a few years ago and she beat it, but unfortunately, two of my teachers (husband and wife) have left and are going back to New Zealand later this month to be with family as the wife has stage 4 cancer.

Best wishes to all, and merry christmas.

Alex.
