Woooo WHooo ! IT flies :-)))

Taxied for a bit then blasted off.
At a reasonable altitude I did a hammerhead, since the venue is a
boathouse lined, relatively narrow slough, to come back towards myself.
Nice, touch and go followed by an immelman and a reverse again to head back my way
and another landing :-))))

But !?!?!

With the CG set at about 1/4 in front of the Step
this thing is tough to make it go straight !?!

Oh I loved the sideways scoots at first BUT then it Carved IN , alarmingly.

SO while headed back towards center stage and attempting my 3rd take off ,
the tip started to dig in. A little power and opposite control
got Stall off and a NOSE IN upside down :-((( sigh ...............

Did I miss some salient HOW TO in the thread here ???

I dont remember ( 20 yrs ago ) my original Nstar being quite this touchy.
ok ok ok I just checked and the ailerons were at High rate, nuther sigh ...

With better weather predicted later this week I'll be experimenting A LOT :-)

That is - AFTER drying out my AR6000 RX.
With the close fit plastic case that does not come off ,
it's going to be interesting to get all the water out !

---------------

Forget that crap above !
I dialed it IN the next day and had a ball flying - Great design ! ! !

Wow, it shouldn't be that touchy, birdofplay. Did you use the control throws recommended on the plans, along with the expo recommended? My Polaris is quite solid and stable with those settings...

KaanX, those are great videos! Thanks for sharing.

birdofplay - Congrats on the maiden!

Here's a couple shots of Polaris #2 with the Transport decals. It turned out so nice I'm afraid to fly her.

This one will go to the E-Fest next month.

Man Scott, that thing is bad to the bone! Is that vinyl set going to be available to the public?

That was the first test fit for the Transport decal set. There's just a couple small bugs to fix and they will be ready.

FANTASTIC videos, KaanX!! Wow, those were fun to watch. Great flying, great editing. I love those skidding turns in the first video--I can't wait to try that with my model! And the scene with the duck chasing was priceless... Thanks for sharing the videos! And you're welcome for the plans.

Istanbul, huh! COOL! Very happy to see one if my designs flying in Turkey.

Whoa, Scott, those Transport decals look really good! Even better than I thought. Gives the airplane a whole different character. I really like the squared off nose, too--it really adds to the spaceship look!

That is a neat set of decals.

Fly her for all she is worth. The decals will look better flying off the water than hanging on the ceiling.

Thanks for the compliments on the Transport decals. They certainly give the Polaris a totally different look.

Even my wife thought it was cool, and she does not usually get excited about this stuff!

Yowser, now that's what I'm talking about. Nice work man, is that vinyl or paint?
