4 of a kind

You guys saw my first two Polaris's a few months back. I recently built two more, although they aren't quite done yet. I had all four together for a photo shoot last night.

If you are using the 2212-10 with an APC 7x5, try using an APC 7x6SF - I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Seriously Deadeye, that is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile.

I would like to see how you mount the motors an run the wires on the 2 that do not have motors installed.

I could always use some other ideas as my mind is kinda stretched sometimes.

Polaris Transport Maiden Video

I finally had a chance to fly my Polaris Transport 09. I'm running a different set-up on this one.

Motor-Suppo 2208-12 1800kv
Prop-APC 7/5E
Battery-Dualsky GT 1300
ESC-30 amp
AUW-18 oz.

The plane flew great but as you would expect does not have as much power as the 2212-6. But it's very light and really flies nice. The video has some onboard and some ground based video.

Last time out w/ my 40 amp bp esc I was forced into involentary full throttle blasts while 1/2 through the 2100 pack throttle was unresponsive I cycled power to trx and was able to get down in one piece I thought it overheated but it didnt seem to hot when I opened hatch . Today after a limp take off the power responce seemed mushy so I brought back in and bench cycled throttle I now think I have a bum esc it never seems to have performed right or I damaged from overheating. This is my 3rd bp esc and usualy they do fine Ive had them in my f -18 and sc but I think this one may have been defectived from heat or problemed from the get go. I did throw my stryker out over the water and was nervous not having floats or anything I brought it in hot to the shore landing over my back yard fence between the trees watch out for house . The in runner noise was reflecting off the water and bouncing off the trees and sounded way louder than normal it really sounded loud buzzing around

I need some help with ESC

I am having a problem with the ESC that I got with my 2212-6 from
Greyson. The ESC works just as it should, but the motor starts to run
if I accidently shut off my Transmitter with the lipo still connected.

THAT AIN'T RIGHT.

The ESC came in a nice plastic bag. There were No printed instructions
on how to program. HELP! This is a bad accident waiting to happen.
I want to get this plane done, but I can't really do anything until this
gets sorted out.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Help gluing Wing to Fuse

So I'm getting there with this baby and am now in a quandary. What's the best way to 'glue' the wing to the fuse. I assume you guy's are setting the wing and then marking where the fuse should be glued.

Are you applying a bead of epoxy to the fuse and then sliding the wing in place or bead of epoxy on the wing and sliding in place or

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In my newly limited experience with electrics, you should never turn the Tx off with the battery connected to the ESC/Motor. At least make sure the throttle is complete 'off' in the lowest position if you really have to. Just my .02 cents - but I'm sure there may be more detailed explanations to come.

That is true, another one I learned the hard way is: if model is on bench while doing a setup (reversing servos) even if you have a tx that has a throttle lock, if you have a brainfart and reverse channel 3, you will eat your airplane if propeller is attached.
