Gobs more! In addition to being the head of the navigation dept., I was also the ship's photographer for 4 years...

That photo was taken during our Persian Gulf deployment in 87', along with the Long Beach, we also had the Missouri with us.

My favorite place to hide on the ship when I was trying to skate was the IC Workshop, which was on the 2nd deck just forward of the Mk13 missile magazine...looks like that VLS now occupies that area.

Where's a squid to hide these days...?

A piece cut out of one of the Memsahib's pantyhose (or other appropriate superfine meshed leg type apparel)?

Just add dope or thinned varnish/finish paint first to stiffen it up.

PS: looking like one seriously well done boa...err, ship Nick.

Will she be any good on one of Barnesy's steering courses?

I wonder how that conversation will go, Honey I need your pantyhose, even after 12 years of marriage (Sunday just passed) I think that may not go down well

Barnesys steering course, nah, this is a greyhound of the sea not some dinky harbour toy

A way to tidy the paint eh?

You need a magnifying glass and a brush with a really fine head. Also a beer, make sure it's the first of the day, mid-strength so it's just enough to steady your hands....) and a lot of patience......
