o put the VLS in for the sea-sparrow forward on the Aussie FFG's did them have to move the anchor windlass or did the box fit there where the helo spot is?

Gobs more! In addition to being the head of the navigation dept., I was also the ship's photographer for 4 years...

That photo was taken during our Persian Gulf deployment in 87', along with the Long Beach, we also had the Missouri with us.

One of my club mates is building BB63 ! He is off 2 Hawaii shortly on a recon/ holiday!! Any more pic's would be cool...maybe new thread or e-mail me mate!

It sits just aft of the normal winch position essentialy over the vertrep position.

My favorite place to hide on the ship when I was trying to skate was the IC Workshop, which was on the 2nd deck just forward of the Mk13 missile magazine...looks like that VLS now occupies that area.

Where's a squid to hide these days...?

You need a magnifying glass and a brush with a really fine head. Also a beer, make sure it's the first of the day, mid-strength so it's just enough to steady your hands....) and a lot of patience......

She really is looking very fine Nick she is a credit to her fine builder, his patience and technical knowledge.

HEY Joe I am at it again and have it sold befor I even get it compleated. A buddy fo mind found out about this Fragate and ask what I was going to do with it when I get it done . Told him I was going to take it to the hobby shop and sell it then he told me concided it sold . So I guess i have to finish it now.;-))

OK it is just over 48 inch long 7 inches wide.. Kind of an intresting story behind this one. Tell ya later if I have said anything all ready. But a good one. talk to ya later. O ya cant realy tell you the scale of this one maybe about 1.8 th or so ? Never had realy known. . Don
