While not an official club, these guys do it right!

They have the best "club" attitude I have ever experienced. I have seen them take in and treat like one of their own, anyone that came by their camp, including myself.

They love to fly, but that seems almost secondary to their love of having a good time at the field, making new people feel welcome, while treating the "old dogs", with respect.

They are the ones that do the cooking at the events that has everyone's taste buds salivating, and I have never seen them turn anyone away from that. At the smaller events, it's usually the guy's wives that are manning the food vending. I have, on several occasions seen them take in new pilots of all ages, help them set up their equipment, repair the equipment with their own supplies, and even give folks planes, and parts, at no charge.

These guys are what the hobby is all about.

It's why I'll drive the 4.5 hour trek to just hang out with them for a day or two. Event or no. They always make the visit memorable.

Hey All,

Been ages since i have posted. I joined the Aussie Air Force at the beginning of the year. Didnt work out like i hoped so now im doing engineering at uni.

The only plane i have been flying is the Parkzone T28. I only got it about 2 weeks ago, and apart from having to fix the prop adaptor, it flys great.

Stress free flying.. thats the way

Apparently there is a new rev. of the TowerPro motors and ESC's. I just got my new TP2409-18T and TP 25A ESC in the other day from HK. This is my 3rd 2409-18 motor and I think 6th TP motor period plus that many ESC's. This one had a different sticker on it and the ESC looked the same but I did notice it had new instructions with it. They where in English and kind of made sense, where the old ones where in Chinglish and made no sense at all. Also this time around I took Jamies advice and just soldered the ESC to the motor with out bullet connecters. All of my other TP motors always hook up blue to blue(or black) yellow to yellow and red to red so I thought I was safe. Nope, I had to switch 2 wires after it was all hooked up in the plane So just a word of warning check the direction of these new motors before you solder.

Hope you guys are having a blast at SEFF and I can't wait to here all about it. I hope you get lots of pics too.

Well SEFF has ended. Of the 3 I have attended, this one was by far the best. It is SO busy we didn't do any recording there, but Jamie did score some video! Looks like Fred from HPP got some good footage as well, as always. The Film festival last night was a lot of fun and had some good clips from SEFF. Lots of highlights and we will cover it during the next cast. Met a ton of people and a lot of listeners this year. Many more than past years and it was awesome having people come up to us and letting us know they listen and enjoy the show.

I do have to say that watching Laine fly the big SRT was amazing. I am sure the news is out and video has been posted, but it was exciting and sad all at the same time. Jfetter grabbed some excellent video of that as well.

Anyway, we will cover more later when bandwidth is better.

Vids and pics and lots of audio to come later.
