flip,

I paid $45 for my balancer. (LBA10 6S) Don't I feel silly!!

Been unloading all my other chargers since I tried the Turnigy.

My flying friends and family always split the EMS shipping costs.

Usually comes out to about $5 ea.

Very Sweet!!

Awesome article by RR. Definitely worth reading.

Ah, LiPos... I remember years ago I was driving an old privately rented car on the way to the flying site. I charged a cheap LiPo battery with an even cheaper charger on the front passenger seat - using the 12V cigarette lighter socket. All of a sudden, the LiPo exploded first with a big bang, then it was on fire Not good. Especially because I was driving on a highway. Had to do an emergency stop and throw the burning damn thing out of the car. Was quite lucky, though. Got away with 2 or 3 burned fingers. The owner of my rental car was generous, too. Had to buy only new seat covers - but 4 of them, otherwise it would look ugly

With the same car, by the way, I drove months later over a speed bump (I drove quite slowly...) when suddenly I heard the sound of crushing and grinding metal. And the car was sitting low and definitely not level anymore. The right front wheel and its suspension was broken off and laying in a 90 degrees angle under the car - after that, I decided it is probably time to get something else...

I know we had it before, but it is just too good, so in that spirit: The Dude driving:

BT,

"All of a sudden, the LiPo exploded first with a big bang, then it was on fire Not god."

Why drag him into this?

Thanks, it helped that we had great lighting (sun behind us and storm clouds in front) and Rob just received his new Canon 5D Mark II.

It also helps having a great looking new airplane to fly. When I say that I'm still getting used to this plane, for me it seems that this bipe does have a longer "locked in" time then most of my 3D monoplanes. By locked in I mean the time it takes me to feel comfortable with a plane, get it fully tuned in and be able to really predict it's behavior. Planes like the Addiction took me 1-2 flights to get comfortable, where as the AJ Slick took me 20 flights. I'm at 12 flights on the AMR and still think I have a ways to go. On a good note, sometimes the planes that take me longer to get locked in are the planes I find most rewarding to fly in the long run.

Sorry, it was really only a typo. Of course I meant "good". Came back from Europe today - I am laying awake with jet-lag - it is 3am...

Ha Ha... Dude, I just wanted to be careful. I lived in Tyler, Texas, once for almost a year, and for a Typo like that, you would have been almost shot Sleep? I can't! I did try, though. Now it is 5am - maybe I should wake Radio Rookie up and tell him, that I liked his article
