Thanks for the European opinions, but given a choice, I'D ALWAYS PREFER MORE PARTS THAN LESS in a repair kit. Maybe that's the greedy American in me.

perhaps we are in germany a little square headed, but frankly, I prefer to have to pay only for the stuff I need. I hate to have to trow parts I paid for in the bin.

further to this, I have an older 3DHS kit on hand. There is no trace of a separate MB...but perhaps they did meanwhile copy the PA idea

wich kit you have? if its a discontinued, than yeah, mb would be a problem, otherwise they should have....

p.s. i prefer to actually have parts i want, instead of buying a new fuse only to replace a front former... not that i need it now but if i dumb-thumb it again, it might very well be the case...

heh... today after trashing my t40 prop i went out with a 13x6.5... and i liked t40 much better... 13x6.5 made plane fly much faster, the only upside was it torqued a bit less... and today i started to think a bit better about landing gear area of ultimate...

Try the Xoar 14x7. IMO its the best, plenty of thrust and slightly faster than the T40.

im thinking abut them... 13x6.5 is too fast for my liking, t40 i liked much more, but occasionaly i had clearance problems on my field, well, i want to try 14x7 aswell....

I am a little confused..the T40 ist the engine..the prop that fits on the AMR is the VOX 14 x 7 or if any one prefers a little less speed the VOX 13x6.5..altough I alway would recommend the 14x7

im not sure about dimensions but its a tad smaller than 15"

so wich 3dhs kit you cant find a motor box?

On props. The T40 (Thrust 40 motor) on 3s will spin a Vox 14 x 7, recommended for the AMR and Bandit. It will also spin a Vox 13 x 6.5 with plenty of power. I find my AMR has enough power for me on 13 x 6.5 but for my Bandit I prefer the extra kick of 14 x 7.

There is also a prop called a Vox T40x this is kind of a slow fly prop for the Thust 40 on 3s and is recommended for the Addiction X.

Thrust 40 on 4s needs to to have the prop size reduced to a Vox 12 x 6.

Hope that clears it up.

so basically wox T40x is slower than 14x7? than im not going to even try 14x7! sticking to T40!

To all you smart PA dudes out there... can the U-AMR handle 550w continuous power on a 14x8 prop, or am I asking for trouble due to motor box flex, and/or flutter from the non-airfoiled horizontal stab, and/or blowback on my servos?

for reference, I'm running a sunnysky 2820-950 on 3s, and the motor is most likely a 900kv.

The 14 x 7 is ridiculous power for this plane. Not sure it would be worth the risk...

I believe we were less than 500 watts on the T40 / 14x7 and its ridiculous power! it truely has so much power that it feels like you have a 4S pack instead of a 3S! So i wouldnt recommend going any more than the recommended setup!!! Its really a ton of power!!!
