Yes it is. I can not give PA first place for their tail gear as they just seem to bend on me. I mostly harrier land so its pretty hard on the back.

I took this off of an GP edge 540t. I am sure that ther has to be a place that sells something similar. I think I remember seeing an ad in one of my issues of fly rc. I will let you know if i find anything .

I have the GP 540T and that tail assembly is inadequate for the edge, but would be PERFECT for the AMR....

I never liked it on the edge at all. I love it on the AMR and should get another for my PA extra 260.

It is a tiny pin that you mount into the rudder. The wire goes through the pin (hole in pin). The original system uses a plastic one and I made one out of metal. Here is a link w/ the manual. scroll down a few pages and take a look. Hope this helps.

I used one of the pull pull screws from the edge and just cut it shorter. Anything will work.

I picked up this idea about three years ago,don't remember where but it's works great! Notice that it is extremely light! Very easy to install. NO load on the rudder at all. It is connected with a rubber band. Very durable and light. any med size rubber band will do just keep doubling it up until the tension feels right.

A few more pictures of the tail mod to the AMR, FYI
