I'm putting on an Eflite Power-15, so I'll let you know if the wing is able to with stand serious g-forces / stress. Taco bell anyone?

Got my PNP Sat. Went together easily. Maiden was in a large field which was good because it was way too windy for a first flight. It wanted to climb and handled poorly. Back on the ground (yes in one piece) a quick check confirmed the CG was off. Low bent wings make it a little iffy balancing it on fingertips so be careful. Second flight was much better, takeoff is easy, climbs well and looks good in the air. Made some nice big loops. Overall it handles well. If you let it slow down too much it will turn sluggishly, so keep your speed up. Due to the windy conditions I didn't get around to rolls and didn't try slow flying it. Landed it pretty hot but it rolled out well, no tendency to ground loop or act ugly.
This one is probably pushing my meager skills a little but thats how you learn. Plan to take it out today, unfortunately from a much smaller field so I will definitely be testing the lower end of the speed range. One end of my usual field has a lovely power line so steep approaches are required. My Gemini handles that pretty well but the F4 may be a little tougher.
Removing the wing from the box cost a little paint, it was taped down. Lose paint or fly with tape on the wing. Yuk. On a side note I found a dead spider in the box. Red hourglass on the abdomen with 3 red dots on the top side. I've never seen the dots before so I'm guessing it was a genuine Chinese black widow.

Listing to people give advice, when in all honesty either they don't know what they are talking about isn't the coolest thing in the world either.

The higher the throttle and AOA on launch the worse the model will be affected by P Factor. Setting the throttle to max and chucking the plane in a upward underhanded softball style launch is about the worst way to get airborne. It's no wonder people complain about hand launching.

Depending upon your power 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and a ever so slightly upward toss is always best.

That is unless you do have a CR setup, then just crank it up and toss it anyway you like.

And I mean anywhere!

Not on any of the major forums, not on youtube, it's like no one actually has it yet.

Someone a few replies back said that tossing the plane underhanded in a softball type launch "usually works." Unfortunately "usually works" in this hobby can be disastrous and expensive. Launching has to work EVERY time not just usually. Firmly grabbing my T 28 behind the wing and "pushing" it forward in a slightly upward angle works EVERY time, not just usually. I plan to do the same with my Corsair.

I agree, a softball toss spells disaster - I tried it with my Sea Fury.

PS - What is a CR setup?
