ParkZone Warbird: F4U Corsair In Action

Once again our Buddy Dave from Horizon Hobby has granted us with the information that we have all been waiting for...
Here is a quote from his post on the original thread dedicated to the Parkzone F4U Corsair on 8/28/08:

Corsairs are Shipping
I'm happy to report that RTF Corsairs are shipping today!

We made August....YESSSSSS!

I think it was guapoman2000. I heard he chartered a business jet, bailed out over the Pacific in a frogman suit, and helped push the container ship a little faster by paddling like mad.

PNP will be shipping either today or tomorrow.

This post will be used as a summary for the entire thread. If any new info surfaces please send me a PM so I can add it.
Thanks

This is what we know so far (besides the info found on the Horizon Hobby website)

Overall Review
  • It looks awesome
It flies like the T-28, but a little faster, and will slow down better
Weighs 1-2 ounces less than the T-28
    Fuselage is thinner than T-28
Cowl is stronger than the one on the T-28
The included 1800mAh lipo weighs about 1 ounce less and is smaller than "older" parkzone 1800 lipos
    Ground Handling is good
It does not like a cross wind, but will fly inverted, roll, and knife edge real nicely.
    It's a keeper!

FYI: The touch up paint that is suggested in the manual does not match very well at all.

Chuck. I agree :-( I might ask for permission in a day or two to delete most of the first posts so we don't carry all of the same stuff into this one. Sorry. I got so excited that I couldn't help but get this one going right away hoping that pics would flood the first page!

Does anyone have a problem with me deleting posts 3-10, and 12-15 so we can get some pics in the first real post???
