"Vintage Cox Fairchild 24 R/C airplane kit New in Box" for sale on Flea-bay along with a couple of the Cessna 182's, and the "Powered Hang Glider C49 Sky Rally "

Not mine, but I figured someone here would want something... I was thinking of bidding on teh Fairchild, but will hold off on it for someone that wants it to fly, I would just keep it boxxed up.

Wow, I have not been back to this thread in a long, long time!
I have been still collecting old Cox airplanes, but unfortunately, due to the economy, the looming RIF in the military, and the addition of another child, the wife is telling me I need to "cull the heard" with regards to my model collection. Seeing how expensive a divorce is, it would just be easier and quicker to sell off what I have amassed instead of going the other direction.
Fortunately, I am not in a good position to part ways with them, as I am deployed overseas. That's the good news for now. I've grown to a lot larger collection that I had posted earlier, mainly with the quantity of used EZ-Bee parts and Sportavia models, but I eventually got the Fairchild and a couple other goodies. When I get back from deployment, provided the wife isn't vindicitive, I will start putting up the aircraft that I will be parting with, which is pretty much all of them except the EZ-Bee II and two Sportavia's.
I want to apologize as rereading the post, I promised a few people to scan some parts of the plans or assembly directions, and I was not able to fulfill everyone's request due to my commitment's elsewhere.
Around July, be looking on here and Fleabay for the items. I'm probably going to take a loss on everything, but we need the money.

The only COX r/c model I have at the moment is a new never run .049 powered r/c Star Wars Land Speeder.

Well I never really sought them out when I started flying but I now have

Centurion converted to electric (great flying plane)
Thimble Drome Stuka (never used)
Sportavia 049 (NIB)

The Centurion gets lots of air time and comments.

You are going to love the Sportavia if you convert it to electric.

Thanks Thomas. It does look like it would make a great conversion.

On the fence about keeping the Sportavia and Stuka though as I could use some rc funds for a kit I'm building and an ARF I've been wanting.

I haven't been back on this forum for a while, but I'm back!

I have collected a lot over the past couple of years, but I'm starting to cull the heard, or collection at least. I have amassed more planes than the wife would like to see, and she wants some more space in storage to put up the baby clothes, toys, etc. With the exception of the Sportavia's and one EZ Bee II, I'm pretty much selling anything I have left. I'll post them on the for sale area, and if I get no bites there, I'll mark it up for FleaBay. I have all but lost interest in the hobby lately, mainly due to lack of time and family (When this thread started, I was single. Now I have a wife and two kids, so time and money are at a premium) . I have no doubt that I will pick the hobby back up at some point, but the collecting is over for me. I still ave yet to buy a 2.4Ghz radio yet as well, to give you an idea of how long I have been out of the hobby. I'll post the inventory tomorrow, as I am studying to take my Airline Transport Pilot rating test tomorrow (wish me luck!)

Good luck on your ATP tomorrow! I'm hoping to start commercial rotorcraft this fall.

Hope you made out good with the ATP!

BTW if you ever do want to part with the EZ Bee send me a note and I'll get right back with a $$ offer. I love them, and they’re getting real hard to find.

I converted my Skylane 182 to electric......it was way overpowered but fun to fly, It would slow down and fly scale yet pin the throttle and it had unlimited vertical. I cartwheeled it on a windy march day, repaired it and it is back in the attic where i shall once again resurrect it when the mood strikes. Look at my blog.

Score!!!!

I recently scored a New In Box Cessna 182 Skylane complete with a New In Box Cadet 2ch FM radio from a hobby shop in Orlando for $50.00 marked down from $60.00!
Thanks go out to fellow forum member Waffleman for letting me know about it over at CEF.

Hey! give the credit where the credit is due!

You know I found that one when I was in the shop one day, and posted it on CEF.
