Whoops!
Kiss your Sweet Zippy-K's Goodby

I just concluded an online chat with United Hobbies about their loong-max (zippy-K) lipos:
Here it is:

You: I see your Zippy-K batteries are no longer on your web site. I see you are changing Loong-max batteries to Zippy-K. When will you get the 2S 7.2 volt 4300mAh Zippy-K in stock?. Also will you ever sello a Zippy-R 4000mAH in a 2S 7.2 volt version? Thanks, Ed
Support Officer 2: One moment please while I check
Support Officer 2: ZIPPY-K 4300mAh 3S1P 20-30C will not be restocked anymore.
Support Officer 2: As for the Zippy-R 4000mAH, there's no update yet if we're going to sell it.
You: Will any Zippy-K 4300 Mah be stocked and if so what voltage ?
Support Officer 2: Sorry, they won't be restocked anymore.

Too bad,

Ed

Yeah, I noticed that too. I got one just a week before they removed them from the site.

So I have a brand new Zippy-K 4300 2s 25c, never used and it came in great condition (came with perfect cell storage voltage, both cells in balance at exactly 3.85v). I couldn't use it because it didn't fit my car (should've looked at the dimensions first lol). I'll sell it for $55 if you pay for the shipping (I'm trying to sell it locally first).

Feel free to pm me for more pictures and details if anyone's interested.

You can get some of them at www.valuehobby.com. They're called GForce but they're rebranded Loong Maxes. Not as much selection as HobbyCity; no 15C and nothing over 4s or 2250 mAh.

I've seen a few other sites say they were carrying them, but they're always out of stock on everything.

I don't think we'll ever see tham at HobbyCity prices, though, for the same reason HobbyCity isn't selling them anymore.

The Zippy-K 4300s are great packs.
I only hope they show up as a Rhino. A friend flys his 60 size KeeCat with 2, 3s packs in series mostly at WOT (70 amps). He has 45 flights with no sign of any performance loss. It appears that Hobby City can not or will not let us know which of its packs are made by Loong Max.
