Dave, I'll bring my lappy tomorrow and show you some footage from Afghaniland that I got from the son. Some really good footage of all types of firefights.

I use the apc 10x5e. I get 34 oz's of thrust at 17 amps 178 watts. You could use a gws 11x4.7sf and get 40 oz's thrust at 23 amps 239 watts. If you use the gws prop be careful it is only a 20 amp motor.

I am shooting for 8-830 So I can get some flying in before the wind picks up. I sure hope the forecast is correct ! If I wake up and it is windy I will just go back to bed.

I'll have some actual footage with me that my son and his buddies shot while they were deployed to Afghanistan last year.

I had a blast, even if I did Bone Doc my Slick. I've already ordered the canopy, just hope Ben and them get back soon. It was great seeing y'all again.

OK, now the wife is driving so I can post now. That was one heck of a great time today. I had more fun than any other thing I've ever done with my clothes on. I found out what everyone is talking about with the 3DHS planes. I just wish I could have gotten more than one flight with it today. The damage is very minor, and will be back up as soon as I get a new canopy. If Ben and them have already left, I may just patch up the old canopy enough to at least fly some.

Chip Geek has convinced me to get a foamy Yak, or Extra after playing with his today. That thing just floats and floats and floats. It makes for a great confidence builder on new tricks and sort of takes the anxiety factor out of doing new things. I hovered it first try which translated in to trying it on the Slick, successfully I might add, and the Slick is such that I wasn't worried about trying it on the maiden. How many other planes can you say that about?

I guess the wife is going to have to get used to the trip down to Austin now. She loves it, she gets to go shopping with her baby. You can bet, I'll be there more if work allows it. These are some of the greatest guys to fly with. Thanks for a fantastic day guys. I loved it all.
