Can I hot wire my motor to my speed control?

Hi all, newbie ?? here:

Can I hot wire my AXI motor to my TMM speed control? I would use the heat shrink insulated tubing over the joints. I used to do this to my rc cars, where everything was hot wired.

If not, what connectors do you recommend. I will probably be drawing between 25 to 30 amps.
