I go with the original aileron size on my 1/7 scale BF-109F version
and started cutting and gluing the parts, today. 210g /7.41 oz so far.
The wing is glued under the fuselage and Iīve used two carbon tubes inside on the vertical V- form. One on the left side in front of the 6mm depron V-wing-profile and one on the right side, behind the 6mm V-profile, overcrossing in the centre.

The wing span is 1420mm / 55.9 inc, the 3mm carbon tubes (couldnīt get 4mm) are both cut down to 900 mm / 35.4 inc to stay inside the wing.

And here I thought I was making good progress. I'll post pics later, just started today. You're just too fast for me Hans.

Here's my start. The tubes are in for elev and rudder. Skinned majority of the port side. I'll wait to skin the firewall section until Jerry sends me the spinner. Meanwhile more skinning tomorrow and hopefully start on the airfoiled wing. Like I said, I'm not as fast as "The fastest builder in Germany"!

Good morning, John,

NO PRESSURE!! Letīs enjoy this BF-109 adventure!!
The construction bar is a very good idea!
Iīve cut out the rudder from the vertical fin, to get the elevator in place
and noticed that the slot in the vertical fin has to be 2cm/0.79inc longer.

Good morning Hans! I am enjoying it! I will cut off the rudder to since it is to be workable. Sure makes the stab placement easier.

Thanks Glenn!
I made pretty good progress today. About 80 % of the fuse covered. Both rudder and elev servo installed. Stab cut out an balsa edges/reinforcement glued on. Rudder cut off and shaping just started on it. Center section of the wing built. Setup the right wing panel and got a good start on it too. The left will go faster, not much figuring out on it, just a flip image.
I weighed the fuse( w/servos), center section, stab, rudder and it all weighs 9.5 oz so the weight is staying in check.
I think I will poly/glass this one instead of epoxy/glass. It will be quicker. Vegas is really coming up fast now.

I've gotten wrapped up in this build and need to get back on the Wildcat. It has the fuse about 90% skinned. Needs a wing center section and it will be about the same stage as the 109. When I finish the 109 wings I will go back to the F4F while I wait on the spinner.

Wooooww !

What a nice bird HJ !
For me, the late BF-109 F & early G versions were the bests OKL fighters from 1941 to 1943 and even the best fighters of the world at the begining of WWII.

Thank you very much to share this beauty with us... I think my WWII warbirds squadron will grow up next winter !

Are the B&W pictures you posted are pictures of the famous German ace Hans Joachim MARSEILLE ?

I'm sure that "Master MORGAN" will build another flying jewel

I hope to Dreamcatcher!

Don't see why you couldn't use EPP. It will need good support though. I don't like EPP because it's so hard to get a decent finish.

Finally finished the airfoiled wing. It's pretty close to a scale airfoil thickness wise but I used a modified Clark Y. Only thing left before glassing is tapering the LE of the ailerons. That is two 4' long tables pulled together, shows just how long this wing is!

Hi J,
Nice build as usual; it's going to end up looking a lot like my Tony. About the same wingspan, and mine ended up at 22 oz. flying weight.
What colors cheme?
