It kicked ass!!! It's so much fun to fly. The wind was blowing 17mph with gusts of 20mph. Check out the pics I posted. In the Slope section titled "My New Raptor 36". It's my new favorite plane to fly.

Think4WD (Matt)-

I see you were planning to bring your floater out to the Hill on Thursday. Well, I'm going to haul my HOB2x6 polyhedral to the Hill this coming Thursday, along with my Moth and WildWing (haven't figured out how I'm going to carry it all yet...) I had a great time with the big floater at Bluff Park in Long Beach on Tuesday, catching thermals off the hot sand and climbing to probably 400'. The lift was some of the best I've seen there lately. I forgot how much fun it was to fly a gas bag like the 2x6. I sure hope that no one trys to take me out of the air with a combat wing, though. If you can, bring your 2 meter out so I'll have some company in the upper air. Jim

I'll be there about 2:45ish. Driving up would be better than walking up the hill any day. Hope there's plenty of wind on Thursday. Jim

I live just about 10 min from Temple Hill and was a regular flyer there until my heart operation Oct last year.
I haven't been there since. I have been flying at Bluff Park in Long Beach on weekends.

Think4WD,
Let me know next time you take your 4WD there, I would like to hitch a ride.

Thanks.

Hi Matt-

I know Kiam (Ktoey). He's a good guy that usually slopes at Bluff Park in Long Beach. If it's not a problem I would like to see him hop a ride up the Hill as I actually enjoy the walk. It looks like WSW at 5 to 10 so a Thermal ship should do really well. See you tomorrow bout' 3 pm. Jim
