Help!
Glow plug extension wire

Glow plug extension wire
http://2wheelhobbies.com/product_inf...roducts_id=375

I can't seem to get current to flow through the (Glow plug extension wire), when I connect the glow starter .....nothing.

But a glow plug, to a glow plug starter works fine?....

Is their a certain glow plug that only works?.......with this extension wire?

I took off the coating on the (extension wire) ends to see if their was any breaks...... but all is ok.

My "glow plug starter" is charged.....

You need two connections to complete the circuit to the plug. "But there's only one wire?" The second connection is from the mounting point of the extension, through the frame, through the motor mounts, through the crankcase, through the engine head to the plug. So it's important to mount the remote to a piece of metal that will complete a circuit to the engine. That is why I don't like glow plug extensions; there's a lot of resistance going through all those parts to get to the plug.

But in any case, if you connect the lead to the plug tip, connect the glow starter, and touch the side of the plug to the outer shaft of the starter, it should light.

I do have the second connection to my crankcase, I have been trying what you say, but no go.

I think I need a new glow plug starter it's old (maby I'm not getting enough power)

I'll get a new one, and do as you said:
Thanks Guidoracer
