Spare Parts List for TA RC10

Just picked up a RC10, fun little car! I wanted to purchase a bunch of
spare parts which will likely be the first to break for this model
car. I know with my brother's LOSI the wheel arms break constantly so
he keeps a bunch of those with him, what will I need in my box for the
RC10 to keep it going on a Sunday?
Thanks!

Re: Spare Parts List for TA RC10

I've had 2 original RC10's for a couple of months now. I've broken a
steering block (attaches wheel to front suspension arm), front shock tower
(u-shaped thing, top of front shocks attaches to top of it) twice.. so not
too bad, and I've smacked it into things at full speed with no front bumper.
They're pretty tough, but I just got a couple more spare front shock towers
just in case.

I made a big wing/bumper thing from an old ring-bound folder cover, fairly
tough cardboard, cut it to a rough squashed-T shape that extends past the
front wheels and screwed it onto the chassis using the existing screws.
That stops me from ripping the front wheels off when I clip things at high
speed, no damage since then.

Cheers
James

Ted,

If this is the original alloy tub RC10 then there is very little that will
break unless you tend to hit immobile objects at full tit! such as wheels of
parked cars and kerb stones etc.

As James said front shock tower either remove the existing one and clamp it
to a piece of fiberglass sheet and use it as a template to create a spare
one or find a supplier with some stock as that's about the only thing that's
likeley to break. Apart from that just get some steel 4/40 nyloc nuts for
the front wheels as the all plastic ones can come loose on their own or
strip out easily

It you manage to break anything else let us know! as apart from the plastic
and fiberglass parts all the metal can be straightened out again to make it
serviceables

Happy bashing

Chris
