This is a mild version of it . 0.53 seconds.

I guess it's a snap to hover type move?

Telink Yak 55.mov (3 min 22 sec)

or at 10 seconds on this:
TELINK 3D Buster Shakedown! (3 min 6 sec)

I'm no expert, but it looks like a snap roll to me.

If you get too "Deep" into the snap you will lose inertia and the whole thing will come to a halt...

In a snap to hover when I enter the plane is upside down like this in 1.58
EXFC 2011 - Martin Brandmuller (semi) (4 min 10 sec)

the inputs should be full down elevator, left aileron and right rudder? I can perform it easily with my telink su29 but when I try it with my 50cc yak it just over rotates. Should I use smaller inputs ?
thanks,
john

Every plane is going to be different, so you'll just have to play around and find which input you need to do less of.

In general, if you need it to rotate less, try lessening the aileron input, and vice versa (increasing your aileron input when trying to make sure you get a full rotation and don't face plant your plane on the ground ).

Also, another thing is to release the elevator input early. You should be releasing it roughly 3/4 way through the maneuver, and maybe even put an opposite maneuver to make it stick.

In general, the more mass the plane has, the earlier you'll have to release your input to get it to rotate just right.

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the HUGE involvement, time, and effort you and your family have put into these videos. I've watched a good chunk of them, and while I don't have my 3dhs plane till friday, I can't wait to start trying stuff out. I'll definatly be re-re-re watching some of these! I'll have to travel up to SA one day(maybe when I'm good at this lol) and come watch the master fly!

guys, a dumb question but how do you actually do a hammer head? (or stall turn or whatever its called) you know, go vertical than chop throttle, give maximum ruder and in theory plane should do a nice half circle and head back down... for me maximum what happens when i chop throttle together with giving rudder, is plane goes horizontal , falls down a bit horizontal and than slowly turns nose down.... how to get this nice round top part? am i supposed to stay on throttle during turn?
