Hi pav, mine is 950gm - no batt, u/c or flaps but with 3575kv lander fan.
Could be you have got the heavier foam.

Odd problem. My Panther ESC caught fire. I was able to put it out but not before it burned the inside of the fuse to an irregular shape. And when I changed the ESC it wouldn't take off. Just run down the runway. So, I thought it was a damaged motor. (should have check watts up meter). Changed the motor to a new HET 2W-25 and off to the field. SAME THING ! runs like crazy down the runway but no lift off. What the heck I'm wondering if the irregular fuse interior is messing with the air flow. Like buffetting or somethng. Watts up meter shows 1100 watts. Should fly fine. Any one got any Ideas?

well at 1100 watts and runs like crazy down the runway u would think it would fly.

how about an incidence problem from the heat when it burned? if the wing to horz stab changed just a small amount or if the angle of attack on the gear changed to less positive it may just be being pushed to the ground.

chuck.

What a great idea. I would have never thought of that. I'll look for any sign of warpage.

Just a thought when sitting on it's gear is the plane sitting in a nose low I once installed a new set of retracts in a EDF that way and ran like a bat of of hell but would not rotate. Changed to a positive stance and the problem was solved.

I understand angle of attack issues. But keep in mind this plane has flown fine for two years. Only thing changed is fire. ESC and Motor.....

have you done that watt test?
if it's not power it's definetely some king of incidence since the elevator surface is moving fine
