Not that fast!!!!!!!!! It depends on your setup, wind, temp sea level, ect, ect, ect can you tell us what you are running? Mine does about 60mph maybe 70 on the down line but these birds are not made to be blistering fast.

I would like to know how large the battery compartment is. What are it's dimensions? I am planning to use Zippy 4S 5000 30C packs. They measure 5 3/4 long by 2 wide, by 1 3/8 thick. Will they fit?

Zoomer-Ron you should be fine, i have to use a rhino 3700 4s pack all the way in the front to get the c of g and its still a tad tail heavy... just bear in mind the added weight? There is loads of room in the battery bay,are you hand launching of using gear?

thanks giddyuperic - the speed of 70 mph is ok, otherwise it would be to fast to see its beautiful style in low passes. A fine plane!

Thanks, dustdeb. Still waiting to order. I might hold out for the Cougar. I would get the metal fan, 4S motor, flaps, metal retracts (probably not gear doors) and servos installed.

The club has a nice paved runway. I'm currently flying an early Hobby Lobby F-18 Red Viper on 3S 2200 packs.

Flight 7, 8 , and 9 today. What a great plane. I ordered some new Turnigy 3600 30C 4S packs, and they really make the Panther scream!

I am planning on ordering new graphics from Calllie. That should add a nice finishing touch!

I can't wait for the F9F-8 Cougar to be released

Good to know. They should be the same size as the Zippy's.

Rhino's

Rhino's are usually a little bit longer than Zippy/Turnigy batts.

Alright guys, I am finally finishing up my build. I am hooking up wires and going to primer it some time this week. Before I take to the skies can anyone recommend a good CG to start from?

I started out at the factory recommended 75mm. I thought the plane was a bit touchy, and required a lot of down trim. I changed the CG to between 65 and 70 mm, and I am much happier with it.

So I would recommend starting at 65mm or so, and you can move it back from there.

Just my 2 cents.
