Thanks - the maths makes sense - if I cycle the 1600 mah battery 5 times it should use up 0.8 amp hours, which should leave the lead acid still well charged. However when I charge up 5 of our 1600 rc car batteries in a row the charge rate seems to get slower and slower. I'm just using a cheapo peak charger, so not sure if the problem is with the charger, or maybe the lead acid battery.
