The Bagram RC Club is here!

Hey there folks, if you havent noticed it on the home page, check it out now!

Thanks to Lee at Castle Creations and a bunch of other "sponsors" we are decked out with a bunch of Traxxas Stampedes and Rustlers! Each one has its own Caslte Creations Sidewinder ESC and Mamba 4600kv brushless motor.

We are running them on 6 Cell 3000mah NiMh batts that Hobbypeople.net gave us at an incredible price (along with chargers and power supplies).

Some folks are using the stock 27mhz radios, some are using the new 2.4ghz Airtronics MX3 radios that Hobby People hooked us up with.

Not only do we have trucks, but Hitec/Multiplex squared us away with 4 Fun Jets, 4 Optic 6 Radios, HS 65 servos and 3S 2500mah lipos.

But wait, theres more! Steve Neu hooked us up with some 1112 1Y brushless motors to put in them, and Lee got us taken care of with props, prop adapters, connectors, servo extensions etc... We also have some 2S 4900 lipos on the way courtesy of Flight Power!

It sure is nice to have a little bit of time in the evenings where some of us can get together, bash around and just have great time not worrying about any of the days events.

So, if you can, make sure you do what you can to support the companies that help us out!

But wait, theres more! Lee hooked up some very cool T shirts! All the proceeds from the shirts is going to the Fisher House. What a excellent and appropriate charity! So, get your shirt soon! They are going fast!

Would the program get more coverage if we posted in a thread somewhere as well? Everyone that gets shirts can post a pic of them wearing them.

You know we're gonna have a picture to post soon!!!!

I got two of them ordered. That is if they make the super jumbo size. One that will fit like a C-141 or something like that. Well big, not quite that big.

They are a really neat design. I am glad all of you are staying as safe as possible.

Laine, enjoy the ride home to see the bride and kids!!

Sounds like a good idea guys. I'll try to get a new thread started later today. One of you is more than welcome to start it too! The "General" forum is where I figure it will go.

I couldn't think of a better person to start it than you Laine.

No hurry, we still don't have our shirts.

Christy said that it would be a couple of weeks to get them. I ordered some odd sizes, so it looks like that the search party is out for big sizes. Would be neat to see all the people who ordered shirts, RC Groups name and such.

The video of the cars was fun to watch. Poor cameraman just about run over more than once.

I just found your webpage, and I wanted to say it looks great. I wish there was a way I can get in touch with you because Im here in Kandahar and I was trying to set something up for the soldiers. Im already working on the space for the track, and its pretty much approved, but Its hard when your new at this. I talked to the people over at castle creations and they are great, there suppose to send us some banners so when we get our course running. Just wanted some guidance on getting maybe some sponsors or help. Let me know if you have a roshan phone, maybe we can talk.

Shirt picture...

Here's a picture of me flying my new yellow SlowStick a couple of weeks ago while wearing my cool Bagram RC Club shirt.

Nothing like a good 'ol redneck flying an airplane, eh?
