Hi Guys and Gal,

Well Im finaly back in the new shop and just starded two weeks ago with this Envoy kit from Model Slipway for a client.
Man it sure feels great to be back at building again!

Ill bring up pics of the new shop later.
So here we go again!

These Model Slipway kits are great! Soooo much nicer and smoother than the other company kits! Not to mention any names but you know who I mean.

Was starting to wonder where you went to, glad to see that you are back amongst the living again.

Hey Phil how are you doing? Yes I'm still here just been busy building a new garage so I can turn the house garage into this shop.

I hope it will be Umi Thanks for the complement!

Here are some pics of the new shop that is still in progress.
The cabinets and counter tops are used that I bought from some ones kitchen.
Finally a place to run my boats.

Well it's definitely been an adventure.

Somebody sure had a nice kitchen and as for the view out of the shop..........I'm on my way over.

Got some more done today cutting alot of fiberglass cabins.

That is probably this thing I like least! cutting big holes in 'glass... Looks like a thick-ish layup too?

By the way, nice looking Taylorcraft in the background! RC?

Soooo much nicer and smoother than the other company kits! Not to mention any names but you know who I mean. Images View all Images in thread Views: 164 First I got the raboesch prop shaft installed and totally sealed off. Views: 145 Here I use a nail with masking tape to hold in the prop shaft to keep any puddy or paint out. Works great! Views: 126 Here is the main deck side supports. Views: 117 Getting the main deck comb out and in place. Views: 162 Getting the rear servo mounted in place. A little bit overkill on the servo size and very expensive "Ball Bearing" should last forever thou! Views: 152 Getting the rear deck in place and notice the washports to cut out is the first step to the build. Views: 130 Clamping and weighing down the main deck because of the sides alot wider than the deck. Views: 121

Images View all Images in thread Views: 108 Rear bulwark supports in place. Views: 119 This is the rudder peak hatch. It was suppose to be in two pieces but I made it into one. Views: 171 Rear Bulwarks in place now. Views: 121 This is the under side combing on a main deck hatch. And if you look closely you can see by the pencil lines where I screwed up and mounted the roof on backwards. Yes I just noticed that myself! "Big Dummy Me" But I checked it out should be ok. Views: 105 Top side of the main deck cover hatch. Views: 132 Some white metal fittings starting to be used. The bilge keels in place, the owner didnt want these on, he's afraid of them breaking off but I had to put them on anyway they really look great on! Views: 198 This is a very different style of rudder hard to fit up but looks very cool when done. Views: 234 This is where I stopped tonight. Going to be a great looking model.

Views: 156 Cork strips I mounted on the garage door to hold plans up and out of the way. Views: 220 Views: 148 Views: 157 Views: 117 Views: 118 A piece of granite in place where a sink was in this counter top. A tough cutting board. Views: 145 Views: 165 This is looking out the door. Views: 151 Views: 127 Views: 197 My new play ground.

Images View all Images in thread Views: 118 I had to cut out all the window openings. not too bad but messy! I used one of those fiber cut off wheel on a dremel tool. Cuts real nice and smooth. Views: 118 Views: 134 Views: 144 Primer and ready for paint. Views: 159 Man these were sure alot of fun cutting out thru the thick fiberglass.
