If I had a vote, I would vote to start a new one (part 2). The original thread you started had much more activity than the other one.

Its up to you guys... doesnt matter much to me. Could post what ever video i posted prior to a new thread or just ad it to the thread that was moved here from the 3d forums. There was quite a bit of info and pics in the thread.. The hobbyking yak thread only lost 2 or 3 pages.. feel bad for the guy that started the rc factory yak thread.. lots of good info and time spent on his thread and now its butchered.

Post 1174-1307 Eflite yak 54 posts Post 1308 starts back on the rc factory yak for a couple pages then goes back to the carbon z yak until post 1791 where it goes back to the rc factory yak for 2 posts then back to the carbon z yak again until post 2223 then 224 is a rc factory yak post and post 2225 starts the hobbyking yak 54 thread and has a mixture of posts for the hobbyking yak and the carbon z yak until post 2268 roughly. Post 2271 is from the hobbyking yak 54 thread post 2272 starts back on the carbon z yak. post 2282 replys to post 2272 then post 2283 starts back on the carbon z yak,2284 is another hobbyking yak post then 2285 resumes carbon z yak 54 disscussion. post 2286 and 2295 are replies to the hobbyking yak 54 thread. This didnt take very long to look through.. you only have to go back a few pages to find the hobbyking yak thread info.. luckily that thread was only a few pages so far and a lot easier to correct or repost. Id rather not muddy the rc factory thread up more.. it still has the proper title and looks pretty much intact so its not a total loss for those guys and could probably resume.

Carbon Z Motor Mounts

The ONLY honest corse of action is for Horizon/eFlight to fix the mounts. While I understand the "cheapness" factor. They need to either press & drill or mill a PROPER aluminum mount.
This is truely a case of "you can't simply up-size the crap you've made" because regardless of size. With the huge amount of defects found in the above part, a part of any size will simply crack & fail at the first fault.

FYI - I just sent this to Horizon Hobby support,

"I purchased a Carbon Z Yak January 13, 2011. It hasn't been removed from the box, as I have been watching the RCGroups forum on the plane. I've noticed motor mounts are failing regularly.

What is HH opinion? is this manufacturing QC, under designed, or a non issue?

Your response will determine whether I keep it or move on."

After someone decided to mangle this thread it may be just as well to move on to a AJ Slick 51

Okay, I was out of town today and just got back. I'm going to close this thread since it is completely messed up and unmanageable as it is now constituted with a mixture of different models. There is a new RC Factory Yak 54 thread here:
