As soon as I get a break in the weather it just started getting a little warmer but then the winds have started to pick up. Also for this plane I dont have to drive down to the flying field I only plan on heading up to the neighborhood park.

I received mine from my wife on Christmas, finally had a break in the weather this past Saturday to finally maiden it. After figuring out the CG for the battery placement it flew great! I think I am going to enjoy flying this plane. I hate the battery Velcro straps, so far thats my only complaint.

I took a quick peek at the weather for tomorrow and the winds are suppose to be quite low so I will plan for the maiden tomorrow.

Little nerve wracking, but she does handle really well under no power. Just keep the glide slope correct, know where a couple of bail out landing spots are if you don;t happen to get her back to you. Put her down in the best place possible. DON;T freak out when you hear the POP...just keep flying the plain while doing a damage assessment. Same concept for mid air collisions.

Glad to see ya in the forum cZYack! It's a start

Where do you live? I'm in Kentucky so no luck for me to fly tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be crappy!

If you have the room to fly the Yak...Get it. Tone down your recommended low rates and be cautious of using high rates. I've got 15 flight or so and haven't touched a switch.

If you get one read up on the place to be careful in a assembly. Check motor mount screws. Full thread screw is for the wings, have to pull out on the wings a little to get the wing screw out (it has to use the foam as thread for the last 1.5' to get enough grip to thread out. Other wise you be in there with hemostats trying to rip it out damaging foam in the process.

Lookin through the eflite site, what about the pogo....i had a small balsa yak a while ago and on a not so hard landing crushed the gear, is the carbon yak somewhat durable....thx

Some what durable, very very repairable. You won't "crush" the gear on this plane unless it is an extremely hard landing...Or run full speed in to something like a curb where gear get the impact. They are tough gear.

Noticed it has smaller control surface's, will do any acrobatics, just looking for a fun faster plane than the foamie....also noticed it has alot of torque and will roll over on take off if not carefull..

by the way, i measured almost the same watts from stock and 13x4 prop: 62A and 940W power with 40c turnigy lipo. Done over 20 flights with no problem!!

The only things really scary are my thumbs
Thanks for the info! I'll pick up a 13x4E and give it a try with the watt meter.
