I think I'm going to get the 101mm and the 127x76 and see how they work out. I really would like a smaller prop for the ground clearance. Also, I have some really small rare-earth magnets on order and I'm going to try and use them to mount the battery. Will post pics when I get them in.

Vapor

I received a kick out of reading about all the mods. You guys think of everything. The biplane was awesome. The lights was great. Just go mine in the air today. So, I will probably just fly it for awhile. I am taking it to the rc club meeting tonight to fly it in the room at the local library that we use. Just for fun. thanks....Joe

I assume the reciever/servo tray should be glued to the fuse shaft. Mine moves when the vapour bumps into anything; have to retrim after a bump and go.

Should the battery tray also be glued? If so, approximately where on the shaft?

Ooops posted in the wrong Vapor thread. Apologies.

Yah, that's similar to what I'm going to do, but I think I'm going to put the battery right under the receiver. I've flown with the battery right there and I like how it handles.

Vapor stock TX DUAL RATES!

I just found that by pushing "in" on the right stick of the stock TX, you get "dual rates". Just push until you hear the beep. To get back to normal push and wait for the beep again. So, now you can put the control rods in the innermost holes on the control horns and use dual rates if that is too sensitive for you. Then when you're ready for sportier performance, just click and go. You can do this while in flight as well.

Thanks!

Dave,

www.clearneon.com is the homepage

It comes in lots of colors. It comes in spray on or brush on too. The web sit has lots of good info.

I'm hoping to test this in a gym soon to see how well it works in a bigger venue.

I just can't figure out how to either set up the DX7 for the binding process on the Vapor or something. This thing just won;t bind. bzerr23@yahoo.com. or 912-618-4458, Dan. Peace.

A challenge for the serious moders!

Here's a challenge for one of you serious Vapor moders. Can you do something along the line of a Custer Channel Wing like the artist concepts below?

This is a plane I've wanted to model for a long time. Not for a scale model. but for the performance improvements it offers in a VSTOL plane.

The trick as I see it would be to make a carbon fiber and ? wing in that half-circular shape needed to maximize lift from airflow over the wing, while keeping it all simple, rugged, and extremely light.

Jim neat looking design! It does look like it would have a CG problem. It would be a build challenge and the test flights a blast.
