What prop are you using on the 2 gram there? I have been using plantraco tri turbofan/ wattage rookie DD props. They are OK but are kinda heavy and not balanced that well. I will do a thrust check tonight

That's the stock prop for the Ember.

I tested the current draw with an inline ammeter,1.6amps 3.7volts 5.92watts.The Citabria/Ember prop gave the most thrust, but a lot of current too.I use the MCX 110 mah cells.
With Parkzone Citabria prop
10700rpm
1.6amps
3.7volts
28gm thrust

I'll try the Cessna prop next,to get the current draw down.

Howdy howdy howdy, forum newbie and 3 day Vapor owner. First time *real* plane guy. Air Hog modder but that's about it.

Flying yesterday at a local park I did a *high altitude test*, lost control and parked it in the tallest oak tree, about 40' and not climbable. Returned today with my fishing rod and a number of weights. Managed to jiggle it down to a 20' foot live oak. Had to tear it out with a large branch, poking a hole in one wing, breaking the landing gear mount and dislodging the elevator.

I expect most can be repaired with some carefull CA.

Has anyone tried GLAD Press and Seal for control surfaces? Seems like it may just work. I see where people use packing and scotch tape to repair holes but I'm thinking the GLAD thing might be more convenient . . .

anyway . . . thanks for playin . . .

Jeff

The OSFilm I use for my indoor FF planes (from Peck) is way too delicate, it would shred in no time. And it's not even the lightest stuff out there, it's probably average as far as the films go.

Maybe some of the more sturdy stuff for outdoor FF would do, but I doubt it would be that much lighter than what's already on the Vapor.

Just my $0.02

So I dropped my transmitter, it powers up but just beeps constantly. Called Parkzone and they said they couldn't help me. He did say it was some sort of low power code.

Anyone have any luck fixing this condition?
