I'm about to start mine. (thanks KFC!)

Can someone write out the general assembly steps? (what do do first, 2nd, etc etc)

I'd also like to know where to put CF and the beat way to mount the motor.

Can't wait to get this one flying!

I put the wing halves together first, then the upper vertical plate, motor mount, upper deck structure, lower vertical plates, lower deck structure, and the bridge parts last. I didn't even bother with c/f on this one since the deck structure reinforces the wing pretty well. I suppose if I had to I could slip a piece of flat c/f strip between the wing halves forward of the motor mount, but I really don't think it is necessary.

Hey Guys!

I have been way behind on making build guides for my planes. Sorry about that.

The way that I do the ISD is:

1. Glue the wing halves.
2. Add in Carbon Tube - Really helps when you doink it nose first into the ground
3. Skin the whole plane - Trim and test fit everything - 3M Super 77 spray - let dry for about 10 min, then smooth the skins on. Be very careful of wrinkles - Top coat of Minwax Polycrilic
4. Glue Upper Vertical Fuse
5. Add the upper horizontal pieces on the top of fuse
6. Add in 1 1/2" Dia plywood motor mount/firewall (Pre-drill it for your motor)
7.. Add the lower vertical
8. Add the lower horizontal pieces
9. Add the Tower verticals
10. Glue the Bridge in.
11. Add controls.

That is the basic steps for building. If you check out my Enterprise-D build guide it goes into much more detail about my method of building that i use on all of my designs.

Good Luck!!

I put it along the leading edge about 1" from the edge on both sides.

I still have 2 sheets left from the very first ever box of MPF that was ever sold in the history of the world. I only use MPF now. All my kits are cut by Ken (1/3 founder of MPF) and they are all MPF.

Greatest thing to happen to Foamies since the Lithium Polymer Battery.

Please keep us updated on your build!

Paul Gentile from TheHobbyGuy.com stopped by the Toledo show and talked for quite a while. Very cool guy. Well he somehow talked me into selling him one of my Prototype ships!

Here is the video he put together of him flying it already!

Finally got my ISD ready for electronics. Unfortunately I might have to wait until NEAT to buy some. Which means the maiden may have to wait as well.
Oh well! She should still turn some heads at NEAT either way!

It was "Share your winter projects" night at my club meeting. So I did.
ISD in the crowd.
You got a free raffle ticket for bringing a plane and a a free ticket for bringing an RC "tip" to share. I won a $25 gift certificate to my local hobby shop! Cool.
