Holy Crap dude,

Great work, and with the size of that thing you have to almost force it out of the sky lol,

from what ive read a .019 wing loading is extremely good correct ??

as for ideas, hmmmmmmm soooo many i could suggest but id have to say

The jedi fighter from Ep. 3, and the silver "HotRod" that ObiWan takes of in after defeating that white robot genral dude lol,

id also like to see an "A Wing" and "Y Wing",

thats Star Wars Done,

good luck with the maiden, cant wait to see a vid of this thing flying around,

Great Work, keep it up mate

NSTALLER!!!!!

OMG i can't believe you built it before me!!!

Looks awesome!

Now i have to get it done !!!!

Looks like your angle on the wings is a bit sharper than my design. But it looks great. Can you get a close up on the engine area? I would like to see how you did it.

Better have a video too!

I just happen to be going down to Birmingham this week on sunday. I may have to drop by and check it out... although it is kind of a long drive to mobile from B-ham.

BTW angelfire, all of those ahve been done before. Do a search for Star Wars on the forums here and you will see a big thread with all of them. All of the designs i have done are designs that have never been flown successfully.

I am not sure really on the CG. I usually put it together before i put the gear in it so i don't have the extra weight and toss it in the yard. I take one of my batteries and tape it on for weight.

What is your length on it Nstaller? And when is the Maiden?

length is 47"(I had a bad edge on my bluecore) width is 30". I used your 3 views and just tiled them and started cuttin foam I am thinking about adding a KFm airfoil to it. Gonna try to maiden today.

LOL, He showed it to me yesterday when we met up to get him his bundle of BlueCor. I got to see it first hand and up close. He really did a nice job on it. While I had agreed with him that it was too windy yesterday to fly, He did it anyway. ( Sounds like something I'd try ). He called to say it flew and I bugged him to get a video of it up asap. looks like he did. Nice job Ken.

Tony

BTW, Where did you end up with your CG marked at?

thanks guys it flies good, if I were to build another I would leave the rudder off because it flies perfectly fine without it.

Tony just to let you know the sacred bundle made it home in good condition . The cg is within a damn-near, gonna try it again today hopefully without the wind.

Ken, that was awesome!

What did your weight come out to be?

I am wondering how slow it will fly too. It looks very stable and i would say you don't have to worry at all about the Bridge. It was way more rigid than the Enterprise

I am going to try to get mine built up this weekend before i head down to Alabama.

Excellent job though!

thanks, I havent weighed it yet but it will fly fairly slow. It is very stable, I wouldnt say trainer-like, but now that I got a fresh bundle of blue-core(thanks Tony) I am gonna add a KFm to it, that should help it fly better at lower speeds. If you build one you can save some weight by omitting the rudder, it acts just like the elevons. The more weight on the rear you can save the better off you are(It took a 3c 2100 pack on the tip of the fuse to balance).
Looks like I may have to blow the dust off my Millenium Falcon and get it in the air again.

What Millenium Falcon?

I started a thread for a profile version a week or 2 ago. I don't know that i will build it.

Is yours the Full Fuse one that i saw a while back???

I really like having a a rudder to straighten things out when i am doing verticals and things like that

I fully intend to find out the aerobatic limitations of the SD.

Yes it is the full fuse one, I built from plans by Go-Rc. It flew but was very unstable, but I may have to give it another shot.
Theres also a pic of a BSG Viper I built.

Yeah i did a search and found it. Both of them

I was looking at building a Viper too.

I just was not all that excited about doing a Falcon. BEsides it has been done before. And way nicer than i would have done it.

Yours was waaaaay more detailed than i have ever built a plane!
