I've heard that CERMARK will be offering the Dave Patrick line of 1/4 scale Super Cubs. Is this confirmed, and is there any new information?

I was excited to read about this on RCU too. I haven't read anything new for awhile, but it sounded like maybe a late summer/fall release date at best. So far the plan is only for the yellow version, no white or clipped wing ones yet. Too bad as I really wanted a white one mounted up on the new H9 1/4 floats.

Hopefully the absence of a reply to this thread by someone from Cermark isn't foreshadowing of their service. They'll need to work extra hard to overcome the bad taste left by Dave Patrick. I hope they're just extra busy pumping out those cubs.

Yeah, it's starting to make me wonder. Maybe I should just go with the H9 cub and modify it into a Super Cub. At least I'd definately get parts and support from H9.

We are currently in the prototype process.

Sounds good. Thought it was supposed to be wrapping up right about now though. Guess I'm looking for a diff winter project. On the bright side, hopefully the Can dollar will be better by the time it's released.

Some suggestions if I may ...

I already purchased the Hangar 9 1/4 scale Cub. I still will buy the Cermark product, IF it is a better product.

The DP model should have these features, and more, to compete:

1. The Hangar 9 Cub has a functioning opening door and window that make a great battery "hatch". My current DP Cub has no battery hatch.

2. The Hangar 9 Cub assembles at the field WITHOUT tools. My current DP Cub needs a hex tool, pliers and screwdriver.

3. The Hangar 9 Cub wing struts are collapsible for transport.

4. The Hangar 9 Cub comes with a complete (painted) interior including full body pilot and a dashboard.

The Hangar 9 Cub is available for $650 US. (I was lucky - I bought it for $600 Canadian when the Canadian dollar was at its highest!)

It needs flaps too. That's the only thing stopping me from buying the H9 cub.

The DP Clipped Wing Super Cub had no flaps, full wing Super Cub had flaps.
