Hi Folks,

I'm a new member that has been building boats for 20+ years and hope to learn how to do it pretty soon. So far I have made a 1/32 Schnellboot from 32 parallel (old boat), 1/32 lindberg 80' Elco (late mid war version) and a 1/12 PBR with Graupner water jets. I will post pictures when I can.

Hey GreenAmphibian what city are you located in NC. We have a fun run here in Rocky Mount, NC usually once a month. In fact we ran today. In Oct. we are going to have a 1/96 scale run. Mostly warships. Let me know if you need any more info. Later, Joe

Here are pictures of two of them.

I'm just north of Winston/Salem Joe. I like to think that these are all in standoff scale. The farther you stand off the better they look.

I like the steering mechanism on the Pibber. Looks complicated but actually is pretty simple. Took some trime to figure that out I think. Nice work Greenamphibian. Pete

Thanks for the good words. I will try to take some of the Schnellboot and post them also. I'm just glad I don't make my living taking pictures! I'd starve!

Schnellboot Pics.

Hope these are good enough. I've rebuilt the boat 3 times so far. I'm working on working torpedos, but havn't installed anything yet. All running lights are LEDs and the guns are all hand made out of brass.

Looks good GA. I like the guns and you sure have a lot of equipment in the engine room. Nice set up. Pete

Thanks for the good words. I am just now starting on my next project. An AAVP7 amtrac. I was stationed with them decades ago, and still havn't built one. Now I know that it isn't really a boat, but it does float.
