Ease up chaps... there's more than me doing the work on this... Jonas (The Über ProE Hero) is the one who's done the modelling work. I just tweak here and there until I'm happy with dimensions

The rendering is absoloutly his area... but believe me.. it'll be worth the wait.

So, Machining has started.

Magnus and Jonas have spent a huge amount of their time on this so far and as I type this their hard work seems to be paying off.

The left hand upper wing-skin mould is currently being machined... Just over 5 hours of machine time, and just over a quarter of a million lines of coding.

At this rate I'll be taking home some polishing work for tonight

Roughing is over.. Most of this is now at the stage where I'll start to cut the peaks back and then polish. The last bit is some post-finishing... for which we're on a the 1mm diameter ball-end...

The final tip detail and LE features plus the servo bay feature are getting it now

Yeah, There's a lot of 8mm H7 holes but I only intend to use a couple of them for mating the two moulds together accurately... the rest are to enable me to position things like servo mounts, joiner tubes, spars and ballast tubes once I've made the corresponding tools...

Unlike Joe M's 160" monster, my moulds are rather small and using a polishing machine will put excesive wear in the wrong places. This is all going to be manual labour.

So.. Time for some serious elbow-grease. I've been practicing for this since I was 13: shouldn't be too tough

Captions are all there and should tell the story.

I'm mostly happy with the finish, though at some point in the future I'll most likely make a tiny foam-padded polishing machine and give them a tiny bit mroe attention. We'll see how the others turn out now that I'm armed with what I've learned on this one.
