that i can see. I know on the PZ corsair losing the lg was night and day with that plane. I don't have any edf flights so I suppose I should keep the gear to start then when i get confidant lose the gear and change the power for more performance. Not sure if that is the right line of thinking, if I am wrong please correct.

Honestly to me its easier to hand launch and belly land than to take off and land conventionaly. But if this model is sluggish on the stock power setup then hand launching might not be to easy either. I didnt fly mine on the stock setup so i cant speak to how much power it has as stock.

Takeoffs and landings make up 50% of my fun factor so i leave mine on and can do with the reduced speed. I also use much smaller wheels and throw in a 'big' motor to compensate. I run a 4500kv motor on 4s and she goes vertical on takeoff no problem. I also made her canards moveable hoping for some serious nose authority but not much success, just looks great on the ground and high alpha passes.

I think full moving canards are over rated as far as effectiveness, but they are sweet looking and add to the cool factor.

Filmed a friends HK Eurofighter Maiden today.

Flew very nicely with its moving canards!!
