Range Video 900MHz Receiver vs. Future Hobbies 900MHz Rx

Hey everyone,

I have been looking at all the offerings for receivers, and I have decided on a 900MHz Rx, however, I am not sure whether I should go with Range Video's offering, or Future Hobbies'. The Range Video receiver is much cheaper, however, it does not look as 'flash' as the Future Hobbies 900MHz receiver, so I was wondering what the pro's have to say about this?

Thankee

Well, if its not flash enough, then how about this one:

RangeVideo

only $20 more, and has dual outputs.

The only thing that you have to remeber is to select which channel you are on before taking off, as otherwise it scrolls through 4 channels ( ask me how I know : )

I looked at that, however I heard some users having problems with those, so I am staying clear of that.

Perhaps I'm asking the wrong question.... For those of you here who own the Range Video 900MHz Rx, have you been happy with it? Any problems?

Thanks much

I have had no problem with the Rangevideo recievers, have 3 of them, and no problems at all, of course if you are in the U.S. you can only use channel 1, the other 3 channels are in the FAA bands so the switches won't be getting any use !!

Is it because the channels are disabled, or because the law says I am not supposed to use them?

Thanks for the feedback, Rangevideo it is!

It's because they fall into a frequency band allocated for
use by the FAA for air navigation. No guarantee that you'll
collide with anything on those frequencies since we don't
actually know which specific ones are used for what and they may
only be used at close range to airports or nav beacons, but if you did
collide, they (FAA and FCC) would probably take it pretty seriously.
