Oran, Your the man! Thanks so much bringing the gas trimmer and doing that. I was thinking about renting one and doing that. I can't wait to se what it looks like. By the way I have been trying to pick up my buts when I leave each time. I'm sure I didn't get them all, but I am reformed on keeping the place as nice as we can. Thanks for speaking out.

I know this is a DS'ing thread but, I must say I have really enjoyed myself out there.
I have been building planes for people and not flying much in the last year but I have a new renewed passion for the slope because I find I can fly almost every plane I have there. I am building an Opus right now and will be repairing a few planes in the coming days. Shrike #1, AMD Cyclone aka "Red Death", Ultron, Pica... all have been down for repairs and no real desire to work on them....until now. Oranator |

Finally got the JW's done. One on the right is ready to fly. The other needs hinges and linkage installed. It will be packed for shipping so leaving the final assembly for the other end.
Both have 3 gooped down layers of tape. Elvons are glassed for torsional stiffness and balsa stabilizers. Both are running on Futaba 2.4 receivers with 6v batteries. Can't wait to run this thing in some circles. |

Oran, glad to see the renewed interest. Hopefully watching me flail around prompted you to take charge and make sure the seasoned pro (you) didn't let any of the upstarts (me) take over your TWF.
Those planes of yours are meant to be flown. So fix 'em and fly 'em. Nuff said. Oh and is this Fermin Swapmeet/potluck open to fledgling rookies or do you need to be sponsored by a senior statesman? |
